Our Story
From Pain to Purpose
Itatulo comes from the isiZulu word "isicathulo" (shoe). Our founders named the company after the way their late toddler daughter used to pronounce it. In her sweet, innocent voice, "isicathulo" became "Itatulo."
That simple, beautiful pronunciation, once spoken in joy, became the name of the business in her remembrance.
What began in heartbreak was transformed into purpose. Through tears came vision. Through loss came the determination to build something meaningful. Every pair of shoes we produce is stitched with love, resilience, and memory.
From pain came purpose, and with every step forward, we honor her little voice that started it all.
